TRIBUTES
Leslie Henry Rix
Leaving behind fond memories
On 10 August 2018, Peakview mourned the sudden death of a dear Colleague, Bursar, Nativity play Pianist and Friend.
Leslie took over the position as Bursar in 2008. He applied his business skills, that he gardened in the corporate world, at Peakview and found solutions to place its financial situation on a more solid foundation.
Leslie was a people’s person, had a great sense of humour and interacted so well with the Staff, Parents and especially the Learners. Our Nativity Play was always successful and enjoyable due to the accompaniment of a professional
NO FAREWELL WORDS WERE SPOKEN
NO TIME TO SAY GOODBYE, YOU WERE
GONE BEFORE WE KNEW IT, AND ONLY
GOD KNOWS WHY.
Leslie will be sorely missed at Peakview, the place where he has spent most of his time.
We, as the Staff, Parents, School Governing body members and Learners, thank Dianne for sharing her beloved husband with us and we will always appreciate and remember what he has done for Peakview.
Beryl Joyce Edghill
Leaving behind fond memories
“Let memories surround you
That brings me back as clearly
As though I was still here”
Aunty Beryl passed away on 23 September 2020 at the ripe age of 99.
Beryl Edghill served Peakview with great passion, wisdom and a great deal of business sense. She loved the children, seeing them in an environment where learning was fun.
Aunty Beryl kept a strict eye on the finances, as she wanted to lay a good financial foundation for the future of the school. In a world where accounting is computerised, aunty Beryl stuck to doing her books by hand… and never did this method fail her. When parents had a query, with a quick glance at the books, she was able to provide the answer.
YOUR PRESENCE WE MISS
YOUR MEMORY WE TREASURE
LOVING YOU ALWAYS
FORGETTING YOU NEVER
One of Aunty Beryl’s living legacies that she left Peakview, is that she prayed for the school and its well-being.
Aunty Beryl will always remain in our memory as a sensible, loveable and meticulous person who cared deeply for the children and teachers.
Gone, but never forgotten.
